We absolutely LOVED our stay at Mantaray island resort! The staff were the most kind, generous, friendly, and fun we had met upon our stay along the Yasawa islands and Fiji. We stayed in the Garden Bure, which was perfect for my partner and I. We were very comfortable on the large king bed, the fan and air con helped keep the room cool, and we loved the stone bathroom and outdoor shower. Showering at night under the stars was so beautiful. The entire island is magical, with pristine white beaches and a bright flourishing reef for snorkeling. However, if the beaches aren't your thing there is a great pool and lounge chairs to enjoy the view by the bar. There's a hiking trail, free kayaks and stand paddle boards available. With a beach volleyball court at sunset beach which the staff love to get involved in. Annie organises all the free and paid activities available on the island, helping you make the most of your stay! One of the best things about mantaray island resort is the FOOD! The chef, Luke, has such a fresh and flavourful menu - we loved all of his seafood dishes. Our favourites were the Tuna Poke Bowl & Kokoda for Lunch + the Poached Fish with Fijian Curry and the Indian Pork Belly for Dinner. Special mention to the bartender, Eliki, who made such a positive impact to our stay every day. My boyfriend and Eliki both follow the NRL so we found a way to watch the game together at the bar. He got us involved in acitivities with the locals and shared so many stories with us. Him and Max at security gave us such a special farewell on our last night, we will always remember the people at Mantaray resort as they are what made our stay so memorable! We definitely will be back one day, thanks so much!

The food was wonderful and the staff was even better. We loved the place so much we ended up coming back after one day at another place. We stayed in a bungalow on the beach and could hear the waves all night. The snorkeling is amazing and there are free kayaks and paddle boards you can use. The bathroom is outside and incredibly beautiful. The room was big and spacious so we felt comfortable staying three people there. There are daily activities to participate in, and we enjoyed making our own bracelets very much. The place has a good mix of resort and backpacker feeling, so you get to know other travelers and has different price options as well.

We stayed in tree bure, it was great. Not big, but comfy; great balcony (big). Bed was really comfy and clean, fan was working really well (it wasn't hot during the night). Showers and toilets are clean, but no hot water in the shower (it's common in Yasawas and not really necessary, but I like to have warm shower even in the tropics:P). The biggest highlight was the reef just off shore, simply breathtaking. The best we've seen in Yasawas and the best we've seen so far in our lives. Huge soft corals, reef sharks and rays abundant. Amazing.

Fantastic snorkeling, incredible manta rays, beautiful premises, nice bures. Beautiful island with at least four beaches. Very kind staff - helped on multiple unusual issues. All the activities are great - scuba diving (while the gear could be better), kayaking, village visit, traditional crafts, cooking, dances, songs and so on. Plenty to do for at least 4 days. Price is competetive in the area. Rather young vibe, not exactly party island, but not a retirement resort as well.

Rokas

The staff (Sela, Savi, Kope, Knox, Wati and Meri to name a few) and the location were excellent. The rooms were great and any issues were attended to immediately eg the leak in our bathroom. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The kayaks, life jackets etc were well maintained and clean. The quality of the food was a pleasant surprise, we had read bad reviews about it but we found it very good (and we are pretty fussy). The cleaning was to a very high standard.
